picking the right HD TV
When picking the right HD television it's important that you decide which of the three types is the best for your purpose.
The only real benefit to Plasma over the other types is that it is only a couple inches thick and can be hung on the wall, but if this is used for a game system pictures can burn in to the screen ruining your tv, also if a plasma burns out its dead, it can not be fixed. LCD, can also be hung on the wall, but they tend to have problems with jagged or blocky pixels, and again if used for a game system pictures can be burned in to it.The one benefit to LCD is that writing or words are displayed very clear. DLP, I dont think that DLP gets the respect that it deserves because everyone talks about plasma, and LCD but DLP is the only type of HD TV I will own, DLP can't be hung on the wall but they are still only 10 or 11 inches thick, the mirror technology used in DLP tv's gives the best all around picture and video games won't burn in to the screen, also they only weigh about 65lbs. The nice thing about DLP is that the only that can go wrong is the bulb burns out, but this is easily replaceable by yourself. I might be a little biased toward the DLP because I'm a gamer, but I have friends with the other types and I still have the best picture with my DLP. |
